That you can use the seat rear-facing for a baby up to 40 pounds is a big positive because I like to ride my babies in that position as long as possible. The only negative I read in the review of the FREE SAFETY 1st BABY CAR SEAT is that this seat is a bit taller than some seats which might make it unsuitable for some compact cars. I drive a mini-van so I think I would be ok, but you might want to double check before you jump in and buy one or try to win the free baby car seat only to find you can't use it.

THIRSTIES DUO BABY DIAPERS REVIEW and GIVEAWAY

FREE DITTANY BABY MEI TAI CARRIER GIVEAWAY

The fabric patterns and colors are absolutely lovely and those of you who know me are well aware of just how much I love to color coordinate my shoes, purses, diaper bags and baby slings.
When hubby is tagging along, I usually prepare by bringing HIS favorite (manly) baby carrier because he doesn't appreciate the pretty colors and floral patterns of my ring slings and Mei Tai's. But if I had to choose my favorite kind of carrier, slings and Mei Tai's would rate high on the list because they are so convenient and lightweight. They don't take up much room in the diaper bag (or even a handbag) and they are good for breastfeeding. Plus, they are very attractive.
And the prize offered in the Free Dittany Baby Mei Tai Carrier Giveaway contest is REALLY cute. I read the review of the Dittany Baby Mei Tai and the opinion of the authro said that it has nicely padded shoulder straps and if you've ever carried a baby for an entire afternoon..you know this is a big deal. For the most part my baby carrier ratings are based on baby wearing comfort and padding is a large part of a comfortable experience for both mommy and baby.
There should be padding in the sides of the leg openings so that the carrier doesn't chafe and leave marks on the baby. Another thing I look for is the length of the straps. I'm above average in height so short straps don't work for me but the review states that the straps are very long on this mei tai so it would fit most anyone. That being said, if you are petite, you may find the Dittany Mei Tai a bit long and that they may get in the way of your work or activities.

If your baby has sensitive skin like mine, this characteristic is enough to get this soft and comfortable baby carrier a high rating in a review. And This Mama Rocks not only raves about the fabric, but says that she notice no pressure on her back which indicates that the Belle carrier might be a good choice for moms who suffer from back pain.
I know that I have no back pain but get very tired from wearing my babies at times and the comments on how easy this gear is on the back in the Belle baby carrier giveaway and review really caught my attention. The reviewer said that it was somewhat less than easy as pie to pop baby in and out of the carrier BUT that issue would probably be resolved with a little practice. FREE CLOTH DIAPER GIVEAWAY
Thanks to To Infertility and Beyond Blog for this free cloth diaper giveaway! What's super cool about this blogging moms' free diaper contest is that there are so many brands that you can choose as your prize if you are lucky enough to win.
I enter to win lots of free diapers where the contest is accompanied by a review of the diapers. But Rebekah has pictures of a lot of different diapers that she has in her stash that you get to pick from. She is giving away not just one but TWO cloth diapers (including inserts) of your choice!
Some of the diapers have been used and washed, some have NEVER BEEN USED or washed...but she states that ALL of them are in perfect condition and if the pictures are any indication, they all are just as cute as can be! And you know you never can have too many diapers.
